I shot a really fun wedding recently at the Red Lion in Boulder Colorado. This is where I used to bring dates when I was right out of college, when I wanted to impress them with a nice dinner that I really couldn’t afford. 🙂
David, the groom, is actually the brother of Kelsey Kaufman whose wedding I photographed years ago, and I had since become friends with her and her husband, Josh. So needless to say, I was really excited to shoot this wedding. I knew I’d be dealing with some really good people.
David and Kristina are both Coloradans to the core; they both are soccer players and take advantage of all of the great recreation that Colorado has to offer. Let’s meet the couple and then take a quick walk through their day!
Nothing beats a stream-side Colorado wedding!
The first thing I saw when I arrived was the Mighty Thor, all ready to go with his formal wedding attire and sipping on a little Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
The Mighty Thor decided it would be more appropriate to dress more consistent with the rest of the guests and the flower girl approves of his decision.
Flower girl belongs to my friends Josh and Kelsey Kaufman. Very cute!
I love photographing the guests as they wait for things to start at the ceremony. These kids killed me in the no-blink contest. So I decided to just take their photo.
When this girl gets married, I hope she’ll call me to be her wedding photographer! May be a while, but I’m just putting that out there. Very pretty young lady.
The guests were all smiles!
Here comes the men, confident strides, ready for business.
David is happy to be here.
Josh Kaufman stepped in as the officiant. I shot his wedding many years ago when his only blog was called “inmybaldhead.com” or something like that. Remember that, Josh? Well guess what, now Josh is an author with global accolades, and has written The Personal MBA and his latest book, The First 20 Hours. I have to say, I’m both proud of Josh and inspired by not only him, but Kelsey, too. They both have done amazing things since they tied the knot. I can’t think of a more appropriate officiant!
Look at this stud, walking these two pretty gals down the aisle.
Awwww
Proud father.
Here she comes
I love this expression. Don’t even try to hold that smile, David, we can see right through you. 🙂
Kelsey Kaufman breaks out her incredible vocal chords.
Smack, there it is!
Careful, David.
Time to celebrate!
People always make comments when they see me photographing another person taking photos, “oh, you are taking photos of someone taking photos! haha!’
…to which I say, “naturally!”
Uh, YUM
Taking some tips from this guy.
Toasts!
More cake. YUM
Is it time to party yet? I believe it is!
