It’s been an amazing year of wedding photography for me, and this wedding was definitely no exception. This wedding was particularly fun for me because the bride and groom are also Colorado Firefighters… AND they are coaches at Crossfit Unbroken, a crossfit gym here in Littleton, Colorado.
Hotel B in Cozumel is an INCREDIBLE venue for a wedding! I felt it was so much better than so many of these all-inclusive resorts – it was a smaller, boutique resort, which gives it a more intimate hotel setting. And their ocean-view is just as impressive as any in Cozumel. And they really treat their guests incredibly well. I DEFINITELY recommend it!
No one wants to hear me jibber-jabber in these blog posts – lets get right to business: the photos! Meet Brett and Lacy:
Now let’s rewind. We had a fun, stormy rehearsal dinner the evening before the wedding where margs were slung everywhere; even kids were having shots! 😉
Not sure what Matt is doing here, but it made it into the blog somehow.
“Listen bro, I’m telling you. Shave the dome. The ladies love it. Trust me, bro. Do you even lift?”
Crossfitters are ready to start shooting Paleo Tequila.
This next guy is actually 38 years old. You can see how Crossfit keeps you looking young and strong.
I’m always amazed that I have to explain certain things in my blog and on Facebook. The kid is drinking pineapple juice, people! I guarantee if I posted this on Facebook I’d get all sorts of shocked responses by people who thought it’s tequila. Facebook. ugh
Wedding day AM, my hotel view.
Lacy crashed her scooter in perfect Mexico vacation style and cut her lip. Lacy, I’ll photoshop this out of all photos that you want to make prints from. But for the blog, we’ll let it go for most. 😉
This sign urges people to run into walls?
Daughter of the B & G is checking out the hurricane lurking outside…
I can’t believe how lucky we got with the weather. HUGE storm came and hit and there was all this talk about moving it inside. Lacy was like “hell no, we are doing this OUTSIDE, I don’t care if we get rained on!”. I like her style! But incredibly, the storm passed!
Here are some photos of Crossfit couples. Notice how fit they all look!
I just wanted to interrupt the photos of crossfit couples with a random photo of pesos.
back to the crossfit couples…
OK guys. Quit monkeying around. Let’s get this wedding going!
There’s Jim Kennedy, my great friend and second shooter – Jim and I have probably shot about 5 or 6 Mexico weddings together. Love our little tradition. Jim came all the way out from Orange County to join me!
Some people don’t know that I’m just as much of a professional food photographer as I am a wedding photographer. So I enjoyed photographing the great food at Hotel B. I’m impressed!
I love a reception where the guys decide to play cards and smoke “cuban” cigars. (They are all fake in Mexico, but it’s fun to pretend, I guess!)
Jack be nimble jack be quick – this is the first time I’ve ever seen limbo at a wedding. But OK!
Shannan takes a nasty fall. My wife glanced over saw this photo as I was editing and was like “how did she style her hair like that!”.
Make a wish!
Lacy might hate this photo, but I think it’s awesome. Sorry Lacy. This is MY blog! 😉
Thanks again for everything, Lacy and Brett! Congrats on a beautiful wedding!!
