I just finished editing a sunsetty-Arizona engagement shoot and I was thinking, “man, I am feeling inspired to write a blog post!”.
I never blog anymore. I need to do more of it though, because I love it. I write a lot more than typical photographers in my post and my language isn’t as proper as most photographers. I keep it real! But it does make me a little self conscious, though. Anyway, enough of my jibba jabba, let’s look at some pics!
Meet Lauren and Matt. I really like this couple. I met Lauren and her parents at the AZ Biltmore a couple months ago when they hired me. I liked Lauren right away, because she’s like the opposite of a bridezilla. Sometimes you can just tell. She’s going to be a great boss. That’s the thing about being a wedding photographer: your boss is a different person every day. I met Matt the day of this shoot. There are different kinds of grooms, too, and Matt is one of my favorite kinds of grooms: Being photographed is probably not his first choice of what he’d like to do on a Saturday afternoon, but is cool and goes with the flow. Perfect.
We took these photos at the Desert Botanical Gardens in the 26 minutes that they were open. Of course, they decided to close early that day. So we had to make it a sprint. Fortunately, they required zero posing help and just started kissing and engaging with each other, exactly what I hope for.
The light was incredible as it always is in Arizona. But still, I love a good black and white.
Matt’s job is an admirable one: he is a coach at an addiction facility and helps to get people with serious addiction problems back on the right track. Very cool. He’s also a huge sports fan. He’s a Cowboys fan.
These two look great at all angles. It’s crazy. Making my job very easy.
Well there you go! I’d say with the time crunch we were faced with, we did pretty good! I’ve got 60 more pics for you guys, so stay tuned. Thanks again for a great time! And I can’t wait to see you both again next May at the ARIZONA BILTMORE!!! My favorite AZ venue!!
