Aw yeah. I got to shoot my first wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens… in CHATFIELD!
I kind of just assumed it would be like the other botanic gardens I’ve been to. But the gardens in Chatfield are totally unique! It’s more like a cool farm with amazing plants and flowers and less like a maze that takes you do different gardens. Not that it’s better or worse. Just different and I am a lover of all things different.
The other reason I liked this wedding was because Audra was like the coolest, calmest bride and Paul was like the coolest, calmest groom and they were just like, “yeah lets do this marriage thang”. No drama, just a good ole time.
What’s that? You want to meet them? Oh goodness me, I am so rude. Meet Audra and Paul!
Now let’s rewind and start from the beginning. First thing I see is this really pretty… weapon. Very cool bouquet, can also be used as a personal defense weapon! Again, I am a lover of different! I knew this was going to be a great day.
Audra has those awesome thick curls that some women dream about having at night. Heck, I’d even trade my hair for that!
Reason # 3 of why I knew it would be a great day: Dog! I get to spend my whole day with this guy? Oh twist my arm! He was super camera shy, but we still became great friends.
Here’s why I love natural light. Audra’s dad, prepping in the yurt.
Audra and her BFF
Grandpa is super pumped.
Which way to the vows?
I dedicate this photo to the baby mamas. I have one coming next month! Yay for babies!
Audra and paul have been dating for 40 years, so it was good that they finally sealed the deal, officially.
I’m loving the ‘stache on the far right.
This is not a typical Cafiero pose, but this is Paul’s trademark.
Two become one. So that’s why Audra is doing it, too.
Goodness, Audra, you are so tall!
Kids-a-plenty
Nice arm!
FOB starts the party with a prayer.
Details include hoola hoops, corn hole, and each table had cribbage, cards, etc. Love it. So did the kids.
Barnyard wedding, anyone?
And that’s how we do it at the Botanic Gardens in Chatfield. CONGRATS Audra and Paul! What an awesome time!!!!
